The Kinnelon Education Association
The Kinnelon Education Association, aka the KEA, is a professional union made up of education professionals, support staff, administrative assistants, and custodial and maintenance professionals. Our goal is to work towards creating the most conducive atmosphere for the professionals of our organization to perform their duties at the highest quality and professional level possible. The KEA strongly believes in the direct connection between quality instruction and quality students. We strive to give our members the opportunity to raise the standards within their individual environments. We then believe that this collective effort directly provides the students of the Kinnelon School District with the best quality environment to learn and succeed for their lives ahead.
The KEA has a long tradition of reaching out and working within the community at large. We participate in local initiatives such as the annual K-Fest and the annual Rockaway Mall “Pride in Education” project. We are also supportive of the events sponsored by our local parent associations through monetary and personal time donations. The KEA runs an annual 5k run in town to raise money for the KEA scholarship fund. Each year the KEA awards a scholarship to Kinnelon graduate who plans to pursue a career in the field of Education. The association also provides scholarships to our members who have college bound students.
We take great pride in being part of such a supportive community which affords us the opportunity to go above and beyond the everyday expectations to create and maintain a very successful school system and a great place for an educator to demonstrate excellence in education.
